Editorial Policy
How we source, verify, edit, and disclose — the standards behind every BlockAI News article.
BlockAI News operates as an independent publication. This page describes the standards that govern how we report, write, and edit — and the rules we hold ourselves to regardless of commercial pressure.
Sourcing
We prioritize primary sources: official announcements, project GitHub repositories, on-chain transactions, academic papers, SEC and court filings, and direct interviews. We avoid rewriting other publications. When we do reference reporting from other outlets, we cite the original and link to it.
Verification
Every factual claim in a News Brief is verified against at least one primary source before publication. For Editor's Pick deep dives, we additionally cross-check numbers against block explorers, DefiLlama, and official project dashboards where applicable. If a detail cannot be verified, we either omit it or clearly label it as unconfirmed.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to assist with research summarization, draft editing, and fact-check cross-referencing. Every article is reviewed and signed off by a human editor before publication. AI output is never published unverified. Editor's Pick deep-dive analysis is written by Jason Lee.
Bylines
- Editor's Pick articles — in-depth analysis — are signed by the human analyst (currently Jason Lee).
- News Briefs are published under the institutional byline BlockAI News, reflecting that multiple contributors and editorial processes are involved.
- Guest contributions, when accepted, are clearly labeled with the guest author's name and affiliation.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are never for sale. We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage, nor do we suppress negative coverage in exchange for advertising or partnerships. Sponsored content, if published, is labeled as such at the top of the article and visually distinguished from editorial content. See our Advertising Disclosure for details.
Corrections
When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently. See our Corrections Policy.
Conflicts of Interest
Staff and contributors disclose any material holdings or business relationships that could reasonably be perceived as a conflict of interest before publishing about a related project. Jason Lee does not hold material positions in projects covered in Editor's Pick analyses unless explicitly disclosed at the top of the article.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism, in any form, is a terminable offense for contributors. All writing must be original. Direct quotations are marked and attributed.
Anonymous Sources
We grant anonymity to sources only when necessary to protect them from professional or legal harm, and only for information that is in the public interest. We always tell readers why anonymity was granted.
