Corrections Policy

How we handle errors — what we correct, how we label it, and how to report a mistake.

BlockAI News is committed to accuracy. When we publish an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.

What We Correct

  • Factual errors — incorrect numbers, dates, names, quotes, technical details, or attribution.
  • Misleading framing — when the headline or lede creates an inaccurate impression, even if individual facts are correct.
  • Broken or incorrect links — when a source link is wrong or dead, we update it.

How We Label Corrections

When an article is materially updated after publication, we append a Correction or Update note at the bottom of the article, with a timestamp and a summary of what changed. The original erroneous text is not silently rewritten.

For minor edits that do not change meaning — typos, grammar, formatting — we update without a correction note.

How to Report an Error

Email jason@blockainews.com with:

  • The URL of the article
  • The sentence or claim you believe is incorrect
  • Your source for the correct information, if available

We aim to respond within 48 hours. Verified errors are typically corrected within 24 hours of verification.

Retractions

If an entire article is found to be substantially inaccurate and cannot be fixed with a correction, we retract it. Retracted articles remain at their URL with a clear retraction note explaining what was wrong and why it was retracted — we do not delete URLs silently.

Responsible Disclosure

If you're reporting a security issue with the BlockAI News site itself (rather than an editorial error), please email jason@blockainews.com with "SECURITY" in the subject line.
